Our specialist group work courses provide a safe and private, small group setting in which to explore issues arising at different life stages. The following are areas for which we can develop group programmes:

  • The new parent – the experience of birth and living with a new baby
  • Parenting adolescents
  • Coping with substance abuse in a family context
  • A reflective and caring approach to bereavement
  • A creative journey through the menopause
  • Life at the mid-stage and in retirement
  • Infertility and adoption
  • Coping with serious illness including cancer support – group work is offered for both patients and their families
  • Coping with unemployment and changing financial circumstances

Our approach is holistic, exploring practicalities and emotional and relational issues. We use a group context to allow you to share with and learn from others. We also introduce relevant speakers to give specialist input on their areas of expertise. If you are interested in any of these please contact email reception@bctc.ie.
